Payment and Deposit
A deposit for the full replacement cost of the equipment is required for all rentals. This deposit may be made in the form of the following: cash, check, credit card, or approved store account.
Rental Period
Our store hours are Monday through Thursday and Saturday 9am-5:30pm. We are open Friday 9am-7pm and are closed on Sundays as well as holidays. Rentals picked up after 5 pm on Friday and returned by 10:30 am on Monday will be charged as a 1 day rental. Equipment kept over 3 days will be considered a weekly rental and may be kept for 7 days. Any rental over 9 days will be charged as a 2 week rental. Holiday rentals will be charged at regular rates. We reserve the right to limit rental equipment quantities. Minimum rental period is 24 hours. Maximum rental period is two weeks.
Reservations
Reservations may be made up to 6 weeks in advance when rental price is paid up front. Cancellations must be made 72 hours prior to rental date in order to receive refund. However, cancellations made within the 72 hour time frame are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Liability
Jack's Camera Shop or its agents are not responsible for any liabilities, claims, costs or expenses arising out of the use or possession of it's equipment. Rental equipment is leased without warranty or guarantee of any kind, express or implied and is rented "as is" condition. Consumables such as, but not limited to batteries, flash tubes and projector bulbs are not guaranteed and Jack's Camera Shop assumes no liability for the failure of such items. All rental equipment will be inspected at the time of rental.
Insurance Coverage
All renters assume full responsibility for equipment. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the renter. The cost of repair for user caused malfunctions will be billed to the renter. The cause of malfunction will be determined by the repair facility.
Damage and Loss
Any repairs, replacement costs, parts or clean up resulting from damaged, lost or stolen rental items are the sole responsibility of the renter. All replacement items will be charged at list price. Renters are responsible for providing their own insurance for rental equipment.
Out of Town Rentals
Rentals that are shipped out of town have a minimum billing of 3 days. Three day billing will cover an entire 7 days, but shipping costs are the responsibility of the renter. |
